Good VibrationsEvery time Good Vibrations comes to town we declare that the lineup could not get any better, and every year they come out with a new lineup that is always better than the previous offering. So basically, we know nothing. All we know is that the lineup for the festival at Gold Coast Parklands on February 21 is totally amazing, featuring Q-Tip, Fatboy Slim, The Presets, Deadmau5, The Pharcyde, Sam Sparro, Chromeo and many, many more.

It seems like 2009 is going to be yet another epic year of live music for South East Queensland. One of the first festivals to kick off this January is Hear & Now, ripping up the Brisbane Riverstage on January 25. We’re so impressed with the all-Aussie lineup that we nearly went out and got one of those lame Australian flag tattoos on our lower back: Pnau, Spiderbait, Regurgitator, The Herd, Grafton Primary, Van She Tech, Stafford Bros, Bluejuice, Kate Miller-Heidke and more will all be in attendance.

The Met has barely given us time to recover from New Years with their huge lineup of talent at Flamingo Nights this Friday January 9. European DJ Fedde Le Grand takes to the decks, as does label mate Funkerman along with Ida Corr, Camille Jones, Patric La Funk, Mc Gee, Pete Smith, Murray Brown, Nick Galea, Jason Rouse, Dope N Dusted and Mr Sparkles.

Z-TripWhen he's not touring the globe as a superstar DJ, you can find Z-Trip at your local Democratic National Convention spinning tunes in support of Barack Obama. Or you know, at home doing a spot of housework. To be honest, it is a little weird catching DJs like Z-Trip at home being all domestic. Although it's ridiculous, it's easy to
